Overview:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position will provide direct support to the warehouse by assisting with all aspects of merchandise inventory management and fulfillment of webstore orders.
Position Type:
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position that will work in-person at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Benefits associated with this position include health insurance, dental insurance, retirement, flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays). The schedule for this position will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am-6pm and Saturday from 12pm-8pm. The salary for this position is $16.00/hour.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all aspects of inventory management, including but not limited tocounting, tagging, and warehousing inventory
  • Receive and prepare merchandise for sale
  • Deliver merchandise to the museum store and bookstore
  • Warehouse merchandise stored in the stockroom
  • Process webstore orders by pulling and packaging merchandise
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Must be available to work during the Hall of Fame's special events throughout the year, including mandatory availability during Hall of Fame weekend, the Hall of Fame's signature annual event
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Warehouse experience is preferred, but not required
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with colleagues.

Typical Physical Demands:
The nature of this work involves constant movement including walking, bending, stretching, standing, carrying, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
Typical Equipment Used: Computer, printer, pallet jack
