Position Summary

Maintains accurate warehouse inventory. Corrects discrepancies in stock status and book inventory. Audits Receiving, RTV and FE reports as needed to identify and correct errors. Audits other departments, warehouse reports and AS400 options as needed. Audits BI inventory reports and reports findings to management. The inventory auditor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. Provides a high level of member service. 

Job Duties/Essential Functions

  • Reviews daily and weekly reports of negative on hand items, items in stock without sales, item markdowns, and vendor
  • service claims. Researches and audits accrued merchandise payables, receiving documents, shipping documents and verifies vendor payments in SAP. Reviews items sold by department number and item discount documentation.
  • Counts the actual merchandise on the sales floor, in the steel, and in receiving. Counts jewelry, majors, roadshows, and other high shrink departments and items each period. Removes and condenses layers of merchandise from pallets for accuracy.
  • Keys counts into computer, researches variances, submits stock status adjustments to the General Manager and submits claims to Accounting to correct vendor payments and book inventory.
  • Creates computer count sheets and keys physical counts in computer.
  • Audits Order Online Reports, high end watch discrepancies, unreceived merchandise transfers, and KEM errors.
  • Audits item signs for correct item, description, price, and rebate information.
  • Runs and reviews reports from Costco Intranet system. Checks BI reports PI by Warehouse and GL Cycle Detail Spreadsheet. 
  • Opens GL Detail in Excel adding filters for research. Reports cycle-to-date dollar variance to General Manager and central office.
  • Audits biannual warehouse inventory. Performs Pre-listing and Post-audit duties. Submits correction requests to Accounting.
  • Provides prompt and courteous member service.
  • Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.
  • Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
