We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Supervisor who is energetic, can multi-task and problem solve, and has the drive and motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced setting.

Primary Purpose:

The Inventory Control Supervisor maintains high inventory accuracy, material movement integrity, and transaction discipline across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods for two manufacturing plants under one roof. This position leads the daily cycle counting program inside Sage 500 (our ERP system), investigates variance root causes, audits inbound transfers and purchase orders, and ensures physical inventory seamlessly aligns with production schedules.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Sage 500 Cycle Count Program: Direct and execute daily/weekly cycle count schedules across both plant operations. Validate physical counts against Sage 500 system balances, BOMs, and pick lists.

Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Adjustments: Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes (e.g., mis-scans, BOM inaccuracies, scrap, unrecorded transfers), implement corrective actions, and process timely adjustments in Sage 500.

Unit of Measure (UOM) & Receiving Audits: Audit incoming purchase orders, transfers, and dock receipts for count and UOM accuracy (converting eaches, packs, master cartons, rolls, and pallets correctly in Sage 500).

Dual-Plant Production Staging & WIP Support: Monitor material issuances and staging for production work orders across both plants, ensuring material movements are systematically recorded prior to consumption.

Scrap & Variance Reporting: Partner with production leads to track daily scrap, yield losses, and floor variances; provide weekly reporting to the Warehouse Manager and Purchasing.

Location Management & 5S: Maintain clean bin location tagging and storage discipline in Sage 500 to optimize picking efficiency and enforce 5S standards across the warehouse.

Team Leadership & Cross-Coverage: Supervise daily tasks for cycle counters, providing cross-training and stepping in during staff shortages to ensure complete daily audit coverage.

Required Skills / Abilities:

WMS/ERP Expertise: Hands-on proficiency in Sage 500 (or similar enterprise ERP) for inventory transactions, adjustments, cycle counting, and location tracking.

UOM & Math Aptitude: Exceptional mathematical skills with demonstrated ability to convert complex units of measure (purchase UOM vs. stocking/issue UOM).

Problem Solving & Attention to Detail: Proven ability to perform root cause analysis on inventory variances and implement sustainable floor processes.

Communication & Multi-Tasking: Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable managing changing priorities in a fast-paced dual-plant manufacturing environment.

Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Education and Experience:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in inventory control or warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role within manufacturing/distribution.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Bilingual Skills: Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred.

Supervisor / Manager Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 2 Cycle Count Specialists (supporting both plant operations), prioritizing daily routes and task assignments.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Active presence on the warehouse floor (walking, standing, climbing, and light lifting up to 30 lbs). Exposure to an active manufacturing and warehouse environment (forklift traffic, varying noise levels, and temperature changes).

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional extended hours required during month-end or annual physical inventory audits.
