Job description

Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service is looking for a Warehouse & Inventory Specialist to join our team in Dallas, TX. The Warehouse & Inventory Specialist receives, transfers and ships inventory in and out of our warehouse. This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing products and supplies for both customers and CBSS field personnel. Is accountable for inventory accuracy and performs daily cycle counts.

Job Location: Dallas, TX
Essential functions:
Support the Service Department with:
  • Placing inventory from warehouse to WIP staging area with paperwork
  • Inspect and return rental equipment once returned from the field
  • Restocking inventory returning from jobs
  • Check in/out of tools from tool cage and maintain readiness

Inventory Control:
  • Securing and maintaining the stocked parts electronically and physically.
  • Perform Daily Cycle Counts
  • Placing Stock Orders as needed once approved
  • Enter parts from inventory into job costing from warehouse and truck inventory
  • Move material off racks and package for shipment.
  • Deliver and pickup parts, materials, and/or equipment from vendors to job sites as needed.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Daily follow-ups on previous request and general inquiries.
  • Professional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic math skills
  • All other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:
Education: A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Experience:
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • Two years' experience in a similar industrial/technical position is preferred.
  • Computer competency including Outlook, Word, Excel, required.
  • Great Plains background a plus.

Physical Skill & Effort:
  • Record-keeping (computerized) experience.
  • Work requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed and a high data input accuracy level.
  • Willingness /ability to work overtime and weekends and emergency hours, as needed. (infrequent)
  • Must be reliable and responsible, have own reliable transportation; and must have the ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Must be able to lift and move 50lbs without help

Working Conditions and Hazards:
Normal office and warehouse conditions. And manufacturing plant conditions. Exposure to heat and cold is normal as shop is often open to outside.
