Description
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for leading warehouse and inventory operations supporting a 24/7 industrial manufacturing facility. This hands-on leadership role oversees direct materials, indirect materials, MRO inventory, spare parts, controlled chemical storage, and warehouse operations while ensuring SAP remains the single source of truth for all inventory transactions.
The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 10 employees while driving inventory accuracy, process improvements, cycle counting, warehouse organization, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, Accounting, and other departments to maintain material availability while improving inventory control processes and warehouse efficiency.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Manage receiving, material transfers, purchase requisitions, work-order transactions, and inventory documentation.
  • Lead daily cycle counts, monthly inventories, annual physical inventories, and reconciliation activities.
  • Develop and maintain inventory strategies including:
    • Min/Max levels
    • Safety stock
    • Reorder points
    • Inventory turns
    • Inventory aging
  • Monitor supplier deliveries and resolve quantity, quality, or documentation discrepancies.
  • Improve warehouse layout, SOPs, 5S, Kanban, JIT, barcoding, and inventory control processes.
  • Support urgent production material requirements while identifying and correcting process gaps.
  • Prepare inventory reports and analyze inventory data using Excel.
  • Partner with Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, Accounting, Project Management, Sales, and suppliers.
  • Maintain warehouse safety, housekeeping, PPE compliance, and inventory security.
