Job description

Inventory Control Manager
Automated Door Ways | Columbus, GA

About Automated Door Ways
Automated Door Ways has been an industry leader in pedestrian door and entrance solutions for over two decades. Headquartered in Columbus, GA, we serve customers across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama through our distributed technician network. Our name reflects our mission — we split "Door" and "Ways" on purpose, because we're focused on finding the right way to solve each customer's unique door needs, whether that's creating a new solution or improving an existing one.

About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Inventory Control Manager to oversee warehouse operations and lead a team of warehouse associates supporting our commercial automatic door and pedestrian door business. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate, well-organized inventory across a high volume of door operators, sensors, hardware, and replacement parts — ensuring our field technicians always have what they need, when they need it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and mentor a team of warehouse associates, fostering accountability and a strong safety-first culture
  • Plan and execute regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy across a large and diverse parts catalog (door operators, sensors, actuators, sliding/swinging/folding door hardware, access control components, and related equipment)
  • Maintain organized receiving, storage, and pick/pack processes to support field technician efficiency
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing/vendors to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and shipping/receiving errors
  • Maintain accurate records within inventory management/ERP systems
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of parts and equipment, including bulky or heavy door components
  • Support warehouse safety standards and OSHA compliance
  • Collaborate with service, install, and purchasing teams to align inventory with project and service demands
  • Assist with picking, staging, and organizing product for easy technician pickup, helping optimize workflow efficiency throughout the warehouse

Qualifications

  • Prior experience leading or supervising a warehouse team
  • Experience managing cycle counts and inventory accuracy programs in a large-volume warehouse environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Mechanically inclined, with the ability to understand door hardware, parts, and components
  • Comfortable using inventory/warehouse management software
  • Forklift experience/certification a plus
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed
  • Background in the automatic door, access control, low voltage, or related construction trades industry preferred, but not required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Full-time work, potential for overtime
  • Competitive salary and opportunity for advancement
  • Medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Necessary machinery and vehicles
