About The Role

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for oversight of inventory and cycle counts, ensuring that the materials match the reported inventory. Also responsible for supervising and training Warehouse Associates in the inventory group, maintaining inventory accuracy by processing material reports and transfers, and helping others locate materials.

Must have warehouse inventory supervisory experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervises and trains warehouse inventory control employees
  • Oversees cycle count process
  • Maintains cycle count records for review by management
  • Informs proper personnel of material shortages
  • Identifies and researches inventory discrepancies
  • Submits reports to management related to cycle count activity
  • Updates transactions in SAP
  • Oversees proper maintenance of all physical storage spaces
  • Creates new locations for new parts
  • Ensures proper rotation of first-in first-out (FIFO) items; scrap pull and removes items physically and systematically
  • Prepares reports such as inventory balances, weekly cycle counts, and production breakdowns
  • Maintains shrink at or below company standard
  • Reconciles weekly parts received schedule
  • Notifies Purchasing to follow up on late parts
  • Monitors inventory rotations and make recommendations as needed
  • Identify and lead inventory accuracy improvement projects
  • Completes root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and identifies improvement

Experience

  • 3+ years supervisory experience in a warehouse inventory environment required.

Knowledge/ training:

  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to multitask
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operation systems such as SAP or similar
  • Knowledge of LTL and dedicated services

Education

  • High School or GED preferred
