Job description

Position: Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate: $30.00/hourly
Location: La Grange, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM Start Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to perform a combination of warehouse, inventory, receiving, shipping, and delivery responsibilities. This position is responsible for receiving and issuing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring parts, tools, and supplies are properly stored and distributed.

The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with both physical inventory and computerized warehouse systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming freight and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
  • Compare incoming freight against freight bills, packing slips, and purchase orders to verify accuracy.
  • Investigate shipping errors, improperly documented deliveries, and other receiving discrepancies.
  • Prepare non-conforming goods reports when necessary.
  • Process and enter received freight into inventory and receiving systems.
  • Prepare requisitions for materials, parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Properly warehouse incoming merchandise or deliver materials to the appropriate department.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventories using scanners or computerized inventory systems.
  • Replenish warehouse inventory, including bench stock, bins, racks, and other storage locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare required reports.
  • Process returned materials and assist with salvage procedures.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and process outgoing shipments using systems such as UPS.
  • Issue and process returns of materials, supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Safely operate forklifts, vehicles, hand tools, and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Drive company vehicles to various locations to deliver or retrieve parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and surrounding work areas.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and operational policies.
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Previous shipping, receiving, inventory control, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift or other material-handling equipment is a plus.
  • Comfortable using scanners and computerized inventory systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately verify quantities and documentation.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and hand tools.
  • Valid driver's license may be required for company vehicle operation.
