Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inbound receiving, outbound shipping, accurate inventory control, and a safe, organized work environment. This role leads warehouse staff, enforces safety and 5S standards.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inbound Receiving
    1. Supervise the receipt of incoming materials and products
    2. Verify quantities, inspect for damage, and ensure accurate documentation
    3. Coordinate put-away activities to maintain efficient storage
  • Outbound Shipping
  • Oversee picking, packing, and shipping operations
  • Ensure orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in compliance with company standards
  • Coordinate with carriers and internal teams as needed
  • Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Ensure proper inventory rotation and storage practices
  • 5S & Warehouse Organization
  • Implement and sustain 5S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layout
  • Drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes
  • Safety & PPE Compliance
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure all team members wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Conduct safety training and report incidents or hazards
  • Team Leadership
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor performance
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety
  • Administrative & Reporting Duties
  • Use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) to prepare reports, track KPIs, and manage documentation
  • Communicate effectively with management and other departments
  • This position may be required to perform additional job-related tasks as directed by management.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 3-5yrs of shipping Automotive experience
  • Experience with logistics warehouse 2yrs
  • Previous supervisor experience 2yrs
  • Knowledge of SAP system 1-2 yrs
  • Computer experience is a must

  • Before commencing work or research, a risk assessment should be conducted to identify, assess and control the hazards associated with the work or research.   This should be conducted in conjunction with other relevant staff, researchers and the supervisor
  • Report OH&S problems
  • Report workplace hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible after they occur
  • Report injury or illness arising from workplace activities using the incident/injury reporting system as soon as possible after the incident
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Complete monthly H&S inspections
