Job description

Inventory Control Clerks needed in Melrose Park, Illinois
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 3am – 11:30am
Pay Rate: $21/hr
*Does include working Saturday and/or Sunday
PURPOSE:
To verify store order case counts, research and report discrepancies, and recap audit results for weekly
reports. To perform cycle counts in home slot locations and reserves.
Must Haves:
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and/or Sundays
  • Strong data entry experience using Microsoft Excel
  • WMS experience highly preferred
  • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and / or cold storage environment.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Accountable and Reports to: Inventory Control Supervisor/ Inventory Control Manager
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Verify total case count and specific items, assembled by warehouse assemblers to store invoice
· Reconciles physical and financial inventories
· Report discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor
· Recap audit results for weekly reporting
· Compares and reconciles physical inventory cycle counts to those maintained in the inventory system
· Completes appropriate research to determine cause as to why pallets cannot be slotted by the inventory system
· Completes necessary system maintenance to ensure accurate inventory accountability
· Completes warehouse case maintenance, i.e. physically measuring case dimensions, verifying slot
heights and performing necessary computer entries
· Makes entries for store returns and printing of various warehouse related reports
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB: 
· Possess ability to work with minimum supervision, good organizational skills and attention to detail
· Possess good math skills, figure aptitude and 10-key calculator skills
· Possess good oral and written communication skills, both with co-workers and over the telephone
with outside and company personnel
· Stamina for working in a warehouse environment
· Temperatures in the warehouse vary between -5 to 70 degrees. Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas. Ear plugs are available upon request.
· Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard to
machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc. Work environment is hectic and fast paced.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Work is performed in varying conditions; warehouse environment, warehouse temperatures ranging from -20 degrees through ambient outside temperatures over 80 degrees and temperature controlled office environment
· Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal. Additionally, incumbent will be required to walk significant distances daily
EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM JOB:
· Incumbent may use computers, keyboards, tablets, calculators, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
