Job description

We are recruiting a full-time Inventory Control Specialist at INDECK Power Equipment. The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for performing a wide range of inventory functions including counting, moving, tagging and verifying any inventory discrepancies.  This includes large equipment, accessories, and parts in multiple warehouses.  We are in the business of both selling and renting equipment, so the accuracy of the computerized inventory is critical to the success of our organization.  We are in a heavy equipment industry so much of this work is performed in the warehouses and shop and is a hands-on position.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform periodic cycle counts for all inventory groups as assigned / scheduled.
  • Research, troubleshoot and correct inventory quantity discrepancies and descriptions.
  • Locate rental inventory when it is not in the proper warehouse bin / shelf.
  • Verify returned rental equipment to ensure all items have been received, recorded, and re-tagged by Shipping & Receiving.
  • Properly tag and add all new inventory if not received under a P.O. By shipping and receiving before it is moved to its warehouse location / bin.
  • Processing of inventory movement forms.
  • Review of packing slips and sales questionnaires, verifying that inventory transactions have been recorded properly in Navision (Company software).
  • Update resource cards in Navision when items have been sold.
  • Setup of new items and resources in Navision as needed.
  • Year End Projects.
  • Physical inventory for all large inventory groups.
  • Work with auditors on inventory sampling and reconciliation.
  • Remote participation in physical inventory for Montreal and Pennsylvania entities.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
                                              
Qualifications/requirements: 
  • Prior experience in inventory, distribution, and operational procedures.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Forklift operator experience a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of boiler parts, valves, and fittings is a plus.
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings a plus.
  • Logistics experience a plus.
  • Ability to communicate between multiple departments.
