Warehouse Associate & Delivery DriverPosition Summary

Jennings Mechanical is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver to support our commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction operations. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, maintaining, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment while ensuring timely deliveries to jobsites and company locations.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, customer-service oriented, and takes pride in maintaining an efficient warehouse while helping our field teams stay productive.

Essential ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Accurately stage materials for upcoming projects and service calls.
  • Load and unload trucks using proper lifting techniques and warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, consumables, and warehouse supplies.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Label, stock, and rotate materials as needed.
  • Keep warehouse, yard, and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Coordinate material returns and warranty items with vendors when required.
Delivery Responsibilities
  • Deliver materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently to jobsites, vendors, and company offices.
  • Pick up materials from local suppliers as directed.
  • Verify delivery contents and obtain signatures or documentation when required.
  • Communicate delivery status and any issues promptly with project managers, service coordinators, and warehouse personnel.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
Fleet & Equipment
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Maintain company vehicles in a clean and professional condition.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided if necessary).
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company driving policies as applicable.
Safety & Team Support
  • Follow all OSHA and Jennings Mechanical safety procedures.
  • Wear required PPE and promote a safe work environment.
  • Assist field personnel with loading and unloading materials.
  • Support special warehouse projects and facility maintenance as assigned.
  • Cross-train to support other operational functions during peak workloads.
QualificationsRequired
  • Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to operate a pickup truck, cargo van, or box truck.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and communication.
