Job description

Inventory Control Clerk Baers Furniture, a premier Furniture and Design company, is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for our Distribution Center in Pompano. The Inventory Control Clerk will assist the Inventory Control Supervisor in supporting stores, customer service, delivery, and shop teams with transfer related questions, locking and unlocking of orders and transfers and re-reserving items on sales orders and transfers. The qualified candidate will have 2+ years of general warehouse experience, and operate in a manner that promotes safety and in compliance with OSHA standards.

Duties are, but not limited to: Data entry and maintenance of company databases, including retrieving and updating delivery and customer information Communicate with stores regarding items not in location (NIL) Assist pick-up customers at the Customer Pick Up Window Respond to emails from store request, pull-offs, buyers, accounts receivable, and stock checks within 4 business hours Conduct dock checking, picking, staging Must be able to interface with a multi-shift operation and physically frequent all areas of offices, warehouse and external trailer yards. 20% time in warehouse environment, 80% office Reconciling delivery and transfer manifests Validating product by vendor and company labels Responding to store inventory inquiries Identify discrepancies in the dock checking process and work with warehouse team to resolve issues Process re-pulls for delivery and shuttle Work effectively with other employees and managers Keep work area clean and organized Additional qualifications: 2+ years of general warehouse experience High School Degree or Equivalent Ability to lift up to 75lbs Must accommodate retail schedule which includes indefinite end times, weekends, holidays, based on business needs. Due to high volume during peak season warehouse employees are expected to work a 6-day work week Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Able to operate radio frequency equipment Proficient with Microsoft Office programs Strong customer service skills Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish or English/Creole) Baers is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
