Job description

Premium Guard Inc is excited to announce that we are hiring an Inventory Control Associate for our location inWeirton, West Virginia to add to the Inventory Team.. We are seeking a true team player with the ability to prioritize and undertake individual or team projects to resolve problems independently. 

Key Responsibilities 

This position assists in the accurate verification of product and inventory levels within the facility.  Duties include the counting of product and reporting of inventory within the warehouse. 

  • Monitors and maintain inventory levels. 

  • Performs cycle counts which includes accurate counting of product in forms of individual, carton, or pallet quantities and recording results. 

  • Reporting of any discrepancies (shortage/overage) to the Team Leader or Supervisor. 

  • Investigate causes for any discrepancies 

  • Follow safety guidelines of the Inventory Control department and general warehouse standards 

  • Operate mobile equipment per safety guidelines and requirements 

  • Use of electronic devices such as handheld scanners, tablets, and computers 

  • Experience operating Cherry Picker 

  • Other duties as assigned 

  • Recommend possible countermeasures for root cause of discrepancies 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

  • Certification or ability to be certified in mobile equipment (fork-truck, stand up fork-truck, etc.) 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications. 

  • Attention to detail of alpha and numerical data; strong math skills 

  • Time management and ability to work independently 

  • Ability to organize resources and establish priorities to support operations. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications. 

  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track operations and provide reports on key performance indicators. 

  • Ability to work various shifts, holidays or weekends when necessary. 

  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. 

  • Must be able to walk/stand in a warehouse environment for extended periods of timeand operate various powered industrial equipment. 

Education and Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred 

  • One to three years of previous warehouse experience preferred

This a DAY SHIFT position.  Rate is $19.00/hour.  Monday - Friday 7am-330pm.  Overtime available.
