Job Summary – Warehouse and Inventory Control Supervisor

The Warehouse and Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehousing operations that directly support production. This role is accountable for ensuring materials are received, stored, issued, and replenished in a timely and accurate manner to meet production schedules and customer requirements. The supervisor leads warehouse and inventory personnel, enforces standard operating procedures, and drives continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

Fogg Filler is seeking a working, hands-on supervisor to lead our inventory and warehousing function. Duties include:

Inventory Control:

  • Manage the end‑to‑end cycle count program, ensuring counts are completed on schedule based on defined frequencies and prior count dates
  • Maintain cycle count codes and associated item master data
  • Support internal and external audits of inventory counts and procedures
  • Perform ERP inventory data maintenance, including stockroom locations, negative inventory, pending transactions, and default stock location reviews
  • Establish and enforce inventory and warehouse control procedures aligned with best practices
  • Analyze cycle count variances and inventory discrepancies; implement permanent corrective actions for systemic issues
  • Develop, track, and report inventory performance metrics and statistical results
  • Support inventory reduction and obsolescence mitigation initiatives
  • Analyze non‑standard inventory requests from internal departments and implement system‑driven, automated request workflows
  • Identify and escalate bill of material inaccuracies to appropriate stakeholders for resolution
  • Ensure timely and accurate inventory transactions to support aftermarket parts operations

Warehouse & Material Handling:

  • Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse and inventory storage locations by planning and implementing new design layout to optimize space, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Generates and manages picklist requirements to ensure timely delivery of raw material and components to both external customers and internal production operations.
  • Manages job material transactions and job closing process in syteline to ensure schedule is up to date. Follows up with supporting departments on past due materials.
  • Directs and initiates staging set up to support machine builds.
  • Drives continuous improvement and 5S initiatives for material flow and warehouse/inventory processes to reduce waste and errors.
  • Ensures adequate part presentation, label requirements, and implements/maintains FIFO rotation systems.
  • Enforces compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations.

Supervision:

  • Conducts employee performance reviews in accordance with company processes
  • Coaches employees and administers corrective or disciplinary actions as required
  • Trains, supervises, and directs the warehouse and inventory control team; manages productivity, task delegation, scheduling, and department SOPs
  • Provides operational coverage and backup support for the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor as needed
  • Supports, monitors, and drives departmental key performance metrics

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to train, coach, and direct team members to meet productivity and performance goals
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods within a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as required and support hands‑on warehouse operations when needed
