PURPOSE
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting order fulfillment and warehouse operations by accurately picking, inspecting, processing, packaging, and shipping customer orders while maintaining inventory accuracy and a safe, organized warehouse environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Most critical responsibilities requiring the majority of the employee's time and effort.
Pull and pick material from inventory to fulfill customer orders accurately. Inspect material for defects or damage prior to shipment. Verify material specifications match customer requirements and pick tickets. Package material according to customer specifications and shipping requirements. Enter and maintain accurate order information within the ERP system. Generate and print shipping labels for outgoing shipments. Cut material using abrasive saws, FMB saws, and cold saw equipment. Deburr material using grinding equipment as required. Maintain accurate inventory locations by completing location transfers within the ERP system. Participate in cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives. Assist in other warehouse functions as assigned by the Warehouse Lead or Management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while following all company safety procedures.
WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of warehouse, distribution, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Previous experience operating material handling equipment is preferred.

COMPETENCIES
Warehouse Operations
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow established procedures.
Equipment Operation
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification preferred or ability to obtain certification).
  • Ability to safely operate abrasive saws, FMB saws, cold saws, grinders, and other warehouse equipment.
Computer Skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems preferred.
Communication
  • Communicates effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Follows verbal and written instructions accurately.
Organization & Attention to Detail
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
  • Maintains accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.
Mathematical Skills
  • Performs basic mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Uses measurements to ensure material is cut and processed correctly.
Measurement Skills
  • Ability to read and accurately use rulers, measuring tapes, calipers, and micrometers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position safely and successfully in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and climb for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Heavier materials must be moved using appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and moving equipment.
