SUMMARY

This is supporting role to assist with material handling, shipping and receiving functions to achieve Dresser’s daily goals.


This position coordinates, stages, loads, and unloads finished product and raw materials. Stocks and maintains warehouse inventory and assists with packaging products for shipment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

A representative summary of tasks to be performed is provided below. The incumbent may be asked to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically stated in this description.

  • Assist in reviewing pick sheets based on customer orders and then pulling the right products for each order
  • Work closely with the inventory group to monitor supply levels and advise on non-conforming counts
  • Assist in cycle counting
  • Collaborate with the inventory control and purchasing groups to determine when product is missing upon receipt
  • Stage finished product for loading
  • Load finished product onto transportation
  • Unload raw materials and move to warehouse storage
  • Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out nor is accepted in
  • Assure that materials received agree with the purchase order/sales order
  • Assure safe packaging of products for shipment
  • Organizes and identifies inventory in the warehouse
  • Arrange for shipment of products
  • Safely operate forklifts, reach truck and all power equipment for material handling
  • Clean and maintain work area. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • High School degree
  • 6 months to 3 years of warehousing and shipping/receiving background preferred.


Credentials/Licensure and other Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification is beneficial but not required as training will be provided
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience using handheld inventory scanners preferred
