Purpose Statement
Basic business requirements such as attendance, punctuality, good work habits, good personal hygiene; advanced education in communication, reading, and math; processing software; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); excellent oral and written skills, follow-through and organizational skills; office administrative skills; 10-key calculator. Preferred SAP knowledge. High school diploma required, some college preferred.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
Strong keyboard skills, effective communication with internal/external customers and contacts, ability to learn quickly, ability to manage multiple priorities, strong organization skills, ability to work independently with little supervision, strong follow-through skills, self-motivated, ability to work under pressure and deadlines. Must be able to hold confidential information as outlined in the AOP planning and budgeting, hourly associates and any other discussions the Distribution Manager deems confidential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  1. Must have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  2. Assures improved productivity within the Logistics Department by providing effective and efficient administrative and customer service support. This includes, but is not limited to:
  1. Organizing and maintaining adequate filing systems for department forms, correspondence, and reports to ensure documents are easily accessible and files remain current
  1. Monitoring, assisting or forwarding incoming telephone calls as needed in a professional and courteous manner
  1. Providing administrative assistance as needed to ensure a smooth flow of operations of the department to include photocopying information, faxing information, setting up meetings, etc.
  1. Setting inbound and outbound delivery appointments
  1. Conducting trailer inspections
  1. Completing recalls & mock recalls
  1. Posting BOL's, allocating STO's, checking drivers in and out
  1. Cycle Counting
  1. Track and research inventory issues and discrepancies
  1. Updating various reports via MS Office
  1. Answering emails
  1. Releasing raw materials from outside storage
  2. CHEP pallets - coordinate ordering heat-treated pallets, cancelling shipments, scheduling pickups of bad pallets
  1. Maintains effective communication with superiors, co-workers and other departments, receiving and communicating verbal information accurately and timely, responding to requests for information and materials in a timely manner, and coordinating processing of incoming and outgoing written information.
  1. Continues to improve ability to work with software that will streamline the operation of the office and improve presentations, reports, memos and systems software.
  1. Accomplish the flow of all raw materials and finished products into and out of the freezer and dry warehouse using SAP and RF, checking and distributing reports/registers and posting and allocating trucks.
  1. Performs all responsibilities within the policies, procedures, and code of ethics of the Company.
  2. The minimum lifting requirement is 30 pounds. Maximum lifting requirements are up to 55 lbs.
