The Warehouse Inventory Supervisor is responsibile for helping: plan, guide, and direct team members and team leads in an efficient and timely manner to meet the daily inventory replenishment demands, meet productivity expectations and work deadlines, handle administration duties, trouble shooting, problem-solving, training with all team members.

Key Job Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain a high level of inventory productivity and efficiency
  • Directs and oversees the inventory process to meet customer deadlines
  • Maintains a staffing level to accomplish the receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of receiving associates
  • Ensures the inventory associates are capable of safely operate material handling equipment to move materials 
  • Develops crew leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members.
  • Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish shipping  mission in a safe, effective manner.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies with zero'd product and skipped product. 
  • Monitors the flow of paperwork from inventory controls to shipping for timely data entry.
  • Assisting in the training of new associates
  • Maintaining excellent cross-functional and interdepartmental communication
  • Assist receiving and inventory supervisors to help navigate and prioritize incoming product.
  • Monitor systems and emails frequently to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Keep work areas clean and clear of safety hazards
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Staff Management:

  • Lead and supervise a team of inventory agents 
  • Counsels, records and discipline shipping associates as necessary.

Supervise Operations: 

  • Maintain a meticulous standard for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the shipping department.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.  Ensure that safety and compliance practices meet DOT and OSHA standards
  • Maintain 5S warehouse principles are administered and followed on a routine basis
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety
  • Securing and transferring cash or other assets.

Requirements: Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to work Weekends!
  • 2-3 years hands on supervisory experience required
  • 1 year inventory experience
  • Supervisory experience, team building.
  • Experience with WMS/ inventory management system and RF technology.
  • Must possess ability to multi-task and adjust to dynamic order flow fluctuations as needed
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to identify areas drifting behind in production and proactively act to get back on track
  • Experience in tracking metrics, including key performance indicators such as team member productivity.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts preferred
  • Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess outstanding customer relations skills
  • Strong skills and experience in team/personnel management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated drive to achieve results
  • Ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, stand/ walk for up to 10 hours, able to squat, bend and reach, able to climb and descend stairs safely (applies to locations with stairs)
  • Ability to work powered equipment (forklift, cherry picker etc)
