THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently seeking a General Warehouse Team Member to join our distribution network. General Warehouse Associates play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout NMG’s facility.


In this role, team members load and unload trucks, move materials throughout the warehouse, and transport items to and from the loading platform. This may involve carrying, pushing, and rolling materials, as well as safely operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, and other material-handling equipment. Responsibilities also include accurately completing tasks such as sorting, staging, transporting, and preparing products for shipment.


This position requires stocking and maintaining warehouse inventory and fulfilling outgoing orders. Products must be correctly pulled from stock, labeled, boxed, wrapped, and prepared for delivery. The role is physically demanding, with team members spending most of their time standing, lifting, carrying products, and climbing ladders to access shelves and complete orders.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Separate, label and verify the count of incoming freight deliveries.
  • Stock and maintain warehouse inventory.
  • Locate and pull stock for outgoing deliveries.
  • Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling).
  • Individuals will spend the majority of their time standing, lifting and carrying products and climbing ladders to stock shelves.
  • Use the computer system to locate products and stock incoming deliveries.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Some overtime work may be scheduled and required.
  • Shipping and Receiving responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Computer skills – must be able to check email and complete online training courses
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
  • Prior work experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
  • Experience using a materials requirement planning system (MRP) such as AS400 preferred

Occasionally, the individual must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
