Job description

Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating an efficient, safe, and effective receipt, storage, inventory, and dispatch of warehoused goods. Also accountable for team's high-performance and engagement in safely and standard operating procedures of the warehouse department, in order to meet expectations regarding quality and production deadlines. Interprets standard operating procedures and company guidelines for efficient workflows.
Essential Functions:
  1. Warehouse Staff Supervision
    1. Responsible for hiring, training, managing performance and coaching team(s) in warehouse tasks to ensure work is performed to expectations for safety, quality and production deadlines. Set clear goals and maintain respectful accountability. Give feedback about performance to job expectations. Completes performance reviews and set salaries for team members.
    2. Manage time and attendance system and team member schedules for start/stop, meal and rest periods and time-off.
    3. Lead safe team member practices and efficient production standards processes.

  1. Keep update inventory and stock
    1. Coordinate an efficient, safe, and effective receipt, storage, inventory, and dispatch of our warehoused goods.
    2. Control, maintain supervise inventory.
    3. Supervise team to conduct physical counts of products to maintain adequate inventory levels.
    4. Monitor and measure receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and transfers to service parts.
    5. Oversee the supplying of materials to fabrication and stages material for assembly and sub-assembly. Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversee the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
  1. Monitor the unloading of all materials into the receiving department
    1. Ensure materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensure receiving reports accurately report material received.
    2. Resolve discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
    3. Oversee the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
    4. Monitor and measure receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and transfers to service parts.

Marginal Functions:
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Supervise special continuous improvement projects as needed.
  • Attendance must be expected and reliable.
  • Attend required meetings and lead them as required.
  • Communicate efficiently with management and other team members.
  • Report creation.
  • Encourage and motivate teamwork.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • May perform individual contributor roles alongside team members.

Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred (Associate in Business Administration preferred).
  • Minimum 6 months to one year of experience in the individual contributor role.
  • May require technical expertise such as maintaining certifications or licenses, in order to properly train team members in proper handling (forklift, driver, pallet jack, nail gun skills).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to build a high performing team.
  • Role model of TransPak culture and operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, deadline-driven, continuous improvement behaviors.
  • Computer skills
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish desired.
