Job description

The Operations Supervisor ADP is "hosted" by the Global Supply Chain Organizational Development Department, and participants are matched with one of our manufacturing or distribution facilities. After completion of the first 9 months of the program, the employee will gain a minimum of 6 months of experience as an Acting Supervisor within the warehouse or production plant completing 2 months in each shift (3 total).

Employees will work out of our Orlando, Florida location and will begin the program either January or July 2027.

Minimum Requirements  

  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher by the start of this development program.
  • Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations
  • Be willing to relocate, as required, upon completion of the Accelerated Development Program
  • Must be at least 18 years of age  
  • Be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future  
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point  

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Have experience with continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc.  
  • Have previous Internship/Co-op experience within Sherwin-Williams.  
  • Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.   

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Operations Manager within Production and Warehousing Operation functions including:

  • Assist with planning daily work scheduled
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and six sigma training
  • Support site safety programs  
  • Understand accounting and billing departments for production  
  • Work with the filling department and filling supervisor as needed
  • Maintenance & engineering of site equipment and operating procedures to be able to identify and resolve any defect in equipment or products
  • Understand inventory, routing, and shipping procedures
  • Human resources exposure: coordinate and plan employee training, development, performance management, and corrective actions.  
  • Supervision of site operating teams
  • Exposure to timekeeping and production control systems
