Job description

Northwest Packaging, a TRG company and affiliate of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our St. Paul, MN facility. The Customer Service Rep builds long-term relationships with the customers by providing product and service information and by resolving product and service issues in a timely manner. This position will work closely with the sales, accounting, CSR's and manufacturing personnel to meet the customer's needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
  • Process orders directly received from the customer or sales rep, confirm pricing and delivery.
  • Process VMI releases as well as replenishment orders from the warehouse.
  • Review run qty's replenished in the warehouse to adhere to company warehouse term policy.
  • Quote re-run differential qty's for customers as well as confirm pricing for any outside purchases required.
  • Ensure all necessary layouts are handed in for order entry (CAD drawings, print layouts, any critical notes needed on production paperwork).
  • Cross train and fill in during times when people are out of the office.
  • Monitor hot jobs and promised jobs through production to ensure they are shipped on time.
  • Work with the customer / salesperson with any changes, issues or customer inquiries.
  • Take ownership of accounts under your list of accounts.
  • Other additional duties as assigned.
  • Working between departments, estimating, design, production.
  • Neat and organized work habits.
  • Relaying information and trouble shooting.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE:
  • High School Diploma.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE:
  • Previous corrugated customer service experience, knowledge of Amtech Encore software and spec building.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Able to add, subtract and read fractions in all units of measure. Ability to use and read tape measure.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Ability to read, comprehend and translate simple instructions and translate into type for production.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Typing, reaching, lifting at times under 30#'s, sitting for extended periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to multi-task in fast paced environment. Must be able to work independently and be a self starter. Must have good organizational skills and good time management.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a regular office environment with climate control. Occasionally exposed to the warehouse area that is not climate control. The noise level in the warehouse area is usually loud.
