Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, highly organized, and hands-on Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Associate to support our warehouse operations in San Jose.

The ideal candidate has practical experience with shipping and receiving, unloading containers and trucks, pallet handling, warehouse organization, inventory, and forklift operation.

This position requires someone who can work independently, stay organized, use a computer for day-to-day warehouse tasks, and communicate effectively in English.

Workload may vary from day to day depending on incoming containers, deliveries, shipments, and order volume. We are looking for someone who is flexible, responsible, and focused on completing the work efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, containers, pallets, and deliveries
  • Assist with and coordinate unloading of shipping containers and trucks
  • Load and unload pallets safely and efficiently
  • Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
  • Inspect incoming merchandise for quantity, condition, and accuracy
  • Verify received products against packing lists and shipping documents
  • Organize, label, and properly store inventory in the warehouse
  • Pick and prepare products for outgoing orders
  • Pack, palletize, wrap, label, and prepare shipments
  • Prepare outgoing shipments for UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight carriers, and other transportation providers
  • Coordinate truck pickups and outbound freight
  • Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documentation
  • Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse records
  • Use a computer for shipping, receiving, inventory, labels, email, and other warehouse-related tasks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized warehouse
  • Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect merchandise
  • Help improve warehouse organization and workflow
  • Perform other warehouse-related duties as needed

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse, shipping & receiving, logistics, or similar experience
  • Experience receiving and unloading containers and trucks

  • Forklift operating experience required
  • Forklift certification/license preferred
  • Expired forklift certification is acceptable if the candidate has solid previous forklift experience and is able to complete any required recertification
  • Understanding of safe loading and unloading procedures
  • Comfortable using a computer and learning shipping/inventory software
  • Basic knowledge of shipping labels and shipping documentation
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for warehouse operations
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to communicate effectively in conversational English
  • Able to safely perform the physical duties required for warehouse work (lifting the boxes around 50 LBS)

Compensation & Performance Review

The first 4 months will serve as an introductory and performance evaluation period.

At the end of the 4-month period, the employee's performance and compensation will be reviewed. A compensation adjustment may be considered based on performance, reliability, productivity, accuracy, attendance, organizational skills, and the ability to independently manage shipping and receiving responsibilities.

A salary increase after the 4-month review is performance-based and is not automatic or guaranteed.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the warehouse rather than simply waiting for instructions.

A successful candidate should be able to see what needs to be done, keep the warehouse organized, receive incoming freight correctly, prepare outgoing shipments accurately, work safely with pallets and forklifts, and make sure day-to-day warehouse operations run smoothly.

If you have hands-on shipping and receiving experience, are comfortable operating a forklift, and are looking for an opportunity where strong performance can lead to increased responsibility and compensation, we would like to hear from you.
