Position Overview:

The George T. Sanders team is seeking a Warehouse Worker for our Distribution Center location! 

As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations by staging, stocking, loading, unloading, and organizing finished products and raw materials. You will help ensure products are received, stored, and shipped accurately while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
  • Stage finished product for loading.
  • Load finished product onto the truck.
  • Unload materials from the truck.
  • Move materials to warehouse storage.
  • Move waste to dumpsters.
  • Responsible for quality control.
  • No damaged product is sent out.
  • No damaged material is accepted.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Operate forklifts, Hyster's, Cherry Pickers, and trucks.
  • Complete daily logs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on forklifts and trucks.
  • Communicate with operators from other shifts.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Turn off and lockout equipment when not in use.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by direct supervisor


Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience in trades a plus

Working conditions:

  • Stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and other physical tasks.
  • Lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Load and unload materials, pull customer orders, and assist with daily warehouse operations.
  • Operate a forklift and other equipment as required (where certified and authorized).
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, work boots, and gloves.
  • Loose-fitting clothing, jewelry, and other items that may create a safety hazard are not permitted.
  • Work in varying temperatures, including exposure to hot and cold conditions inside and outside the warehouse.
  • Perform additional physical and operational duties as needed to support branch and warehouse operations.

Position Details:

  • Position Type: Full-time, non-exempt.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, at the  Distribution Center location.
  • Hours: 8 hours per day
  • No nights
  • No weekends unless required by business needs
