COMPANY OVERVIEW
IMG Citrus, a leading integrated Citrus grower and marketer, based in Vero Beach Florida, is looking for a Shipping Clerk. Located in Indian River County, IMG Citrus operates as one of Florida's main distributors of fresh citrus. The company is vertically integrated --farming over 5000 acres in Florida, and operating a state of the art Packinghouse, and a 1,000 pallet refrigerated distribution center. Marketing and sales of Citrus domestically and globally is a core competency of the Company and is supported by an in-house sales/marketing team and Company own production of all Florida citrus varieties: grapefruit, oranges and tangerines. The Company is committed to growth of its Florida program through aggressive new plantings, acquisition of existing grove and consolidation opportunities. Another area of fast growth is the summer import program from the Southern Hemisphere allowing IMG Citrus to provide year round citrus to the most demanding customers in the USA and Canada.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Shipping Clerk will be responsible for coordinating the administrative processes of the shipping team so as to ensure smooth and efficient operations, inventory accuracy and data integrity. The Shipping Clerk will work closely with the Shipping Supervisor to help monitor inbound and outbound movement of fruit to and from the company's cold storage warehouse, ensuring all orders are shipped within customer specs and in a timely manner. The Shipping Clerk will create shipping documents, such as sales orders, bill of ladings (BOL), manifests, and purchase orders, produce and review reports for inventory accuracy, maintain food safety logs and other duties as needed.
JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Monitor each shipment to make sure that orders/shipments are picked correctly and accurately.
  • Greet drivers upon arrival and assist with the check-in process
  • Perform inventory control.
  • Report daily inventories, exceptions, and outages; assist Shipping Supervisor to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain Food Safety records for the shipping department and cooler facilities.
  • Develop and distribute aged reports, conduct routine floor counts and update NAV system as applicable.
  • Oversee manifest administrative functions and accurately report to various parties (Sales, USDA and IR League)
  • Utilize company software and programs (BC365, Microsoft systems, etc..) to maximize work efficiency and management of Shipping/Cooler operations.
  • Complete tasks to meet the company's shipping schedule.
  • Use scanners and scales to perform job duties.
  • Track and report usage of pallets and reusable containers.
  • Initiate installation for temperature recorders as needed.
  • Assist with clerical duties as needed.
  • Assist with operational duties as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to work independently,

  • Know and abide by all company policies, Rules and Regulations.
  • Observe safety procedures - report potentially unsafe conditions.

  • Follow all shipping guidelines set for by the company.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in shipping logistics or warehouse operations preferred.

WORK HOURS & ENVIRONMENT
40+ hours work week and required to work additional hours during peak times or as needed. Weekends and nights are required as needed.
