THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Warehouse Site Manager to join our team and be part of something great. We have an outstanding career opportunity for a driven, successful leader with at least 3 years of increasing management responsibility in the distribution field. Successful candidates will have knowledge of Shopify with a strong understanding of both warehouse operations and how they integrate with e-commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Warehouse Operations Oversight:
  • Directing and overseeing warehouse processes, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods.
  • Ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Optimizing warehouse space utilization and planning for future capacity needs.
  • Implementing and maintaining health, safety, hygiene, and security standards.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, including automated systems.
  • Managing returns and recycling processes if applicable.
  • Shopify Integration:
  • Understanding how Shopify integrates with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to sync inventory and order data.
  • Ensuring real-time inventory visibility and accurate stock levels across multiple sales channels (online store, POS, etc.).
  • Streamlining order fulfillment processes, including automated picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Utilizing Shopify's features for order management and fulfillment automation.
  • Potentially managing multiple warehouses and coordinating inventory across locations using integrated systems.
 
  • Inventory Management:
  • Ensuring accurate inventory tracking and control, preventing overstocking and stockouts.
  • Utilizing barcode scanning and RFID technology for accurate inventory counts.
  • Managing inventory allocation and optimization based on sales data and demand forecasting.
  • People Management:
  • Supervising and managing warehouse staff, including scheduling and performance monitoring.
  • Providing training and ensuring staff are qualified to operate equipment and follow safety protocols.
  • Developing and implementing standardized workflows for warehouse activities.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Generating reports and statistics on warehouse performance, including order accuracy, fulfillment speed, and inventory turnover.
  • Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes.
  • Utilizing data for demand forecasting and inventory planning.
  • Communication:
  • Communicating effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and issues related to orders and shipments. 
 
Running site with safety and efficiency as priorities
  • Daily communications with associates on service levels, accountability and performance.
  • Creation of daily KPIs and transmission of same to VP of Operations
  • Audit of daily labor and billing reports
  • Ensure customer needs are met on a daily basis.
  • Document and resolve any customer service or associate issues daily.
  • Ensure all associates follow NLBN policies and work rules including NLBN safety work rules.
  • Interview, hire, and train new warehouse associates.
  • Supervise timely and accurate data entry for all services performed.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be very flexible with shift start times as well as days worked, including weekends and holidays.
  • 3 years of management and leadership experience in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.
  • Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.
  • The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment.
  • Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Excellent aptitude in shopify and/or WMC systems.
 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Third-Party experience preferred.
  • BS/BA Degree or Associate Degree with Equivalent Experience is a plus but no required
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Proven track record in supervision of warehouse employees including Hiring, Training, and Termination.
  • Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand for long period of times.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed.
  • Ability to work in warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
