Job Purpose:
The Automation Consultant develops and implements warehouse automation and robotics processes and integrations, ensuring effective and consistent deployments across multiple customer environments.
Key Accountabilities:
β€’ Configure and implement WMS automation and robotics processes.
β€’ Develop functional templates and implementation scripts specific to warehouse automation.
β€’ Follow established configuration guidelines for consistent deployments.
β€’ Document all automation configurations clearly and comprehensively.
β€’ Support ongoing improvement of automation processes through feedback and experience sharing.
Education & Qualifications:
β€’ Essential: Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Robotics, or related discipline.
β€’ Desirable: Certification in robotics, automation systems, or cloud technologies.
Experience:
β€’ Minimum 5 years' experience in 3PL from both systems and operational perspectives.
β€’ Extensive experience with Manhattan Active WMS, Blue Yonder WMS, and/or other enterprise WMS systems.
β€’ Five years' experience leading the technical delivery of complex, integrated WMS solutions.
β€’ Practical experience implementing automation templates and integrating with warehouse automation systems.
β€’ Experience within global logistics or large-scale warehouse automation projects.
β€’ Exposure to cloud-based WMS deployments, preferably on Google Cloud
Specialist Knowledge & Skills:
β€’ Detailed configuration knowledge of WMS systems used within CEVA Logistics (Manhattan Active / Blue Yonder WMS).
β€’ Knowledge of change and release processes for IT products.
β€’ Knowledge of software testing and QA processes for warehouse automation solutions.
β€’ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
β€’ Research and development (R&D) approach to solution design and implementation. o MYSQL / MSSQL / Oracle (PL SQL) for database management and development.
β€’ Integration expertise (EDI/API) and middleware software development with extensive experience in integrating with automation and robotics solutions (WCS).
β€’ Programming skills in Java/Groovy/Python.
β€’ Experience with version control systems (GitLab/GitHub).
β€’ Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins and Agile methodologies
β€’ Basic knowledge of cloud architecture, preferably Google Cloud.
