Job description

Position Summary
The PC&L Associate is responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers. The operator is responsible for following the job responsibilities within the plant and/or warehouse while operating in a fast-paced environment:
  • Loads product, unloads product, receives product, ship's product, moves materials at elevated heights, and issues material using system transactions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Standard Duties:
  • PC&L Associate will be expected to safely perform all tasks assigned by Leadership including all positions within the Physical Logistics department.
  • Safely operates all equipment to which the individual is certified (ex):
    • Sit-down Forklifts
    • Stand Up Lifts (Both Reach and Pacer)
    • Tuggers
    • Electric Jacks
  • Reads and understands work instructions and/or follows oral instructions to execute the material flow requirements.
  • Manually loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required (see physical requirements).
  • Accurately and timely enters materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required.
  • Reads electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, pick sheets to retrieve and deliver necessary materials for operations.
  • Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.
  • Use appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.
  • Loads/Unloads materials into trailers adhering to Dock Safety Protocol.
  • Meet physical logistics KPI's, Associate Engagement and Teamwork
  • Adherence to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points.
  • Wear all required PPE and follow box cutting safety protocols.

Safety, Health and Physical Requirements:
  • Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand-up lifts.
  • Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs repetitively.
  • Stepping up and down off lift; walking long distances over extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to box cutting, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.
  • All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding, and complying with the safety policies and procedures.

Education:

3 months of Powered Industrial Truck experience required Active Forklift Certification License preferred

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Inventory software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
