At District Photo, our employees are the heart of our company. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate Weekend Shift in our Phoenix, Arizona factory


Job Overview

The Warehouse Associate will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 6am- 4pm


  Job Duties and Expectations

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
  • Prepares supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, dust, and mop.      Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  •  Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database. 
  • Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished   products. 
  • Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse. 
  • Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments. 
  • Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items. 
  • Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product. 
  • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed. 
  • Operates forklift truck and electric pallet jack as needed.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
  • Abide by all safety and security regulations as directed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license for forklift truck required. 
  • At least 6 months of work experience in a warehouse required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology. 
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures. 
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.


Working Conditions

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Physical activities including but not limited to reaching, pulling, pushing, gripping, grabbing, and must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Able to work in various climates (i.e. hot and cold)
