Job description

Job Title Name: Warehouse Associate
Supervisor: Branch Manager
The focus and responsibilities of this position are to facilitate all aspects of our cross-dock operation, logistical warehousing, and contractor support. This person will meet all service requirements while adhering to the policies and procedures of Relay Express. Inc. The candidate must possess strong relationship skills and maintain a positive, solution-based attitude at all times.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Have a complete understanding of all Relay Express procedures for warehousing and line hauls.
  • Receive inbound / outbound freight and stage appropriately.
    • Stage pallets for outbound routes in appropriate spots in load order for the driver with correct paperwork and placarding.
    • Each skid labeled per customer.
    • Freight recorded and checked on linehaul report.
  • Sign inbound / outbound paperwork for drivers.
  • Verify the freight with the appropriate paperwork: BOL’s, 8125’s, etc.
  • Perform daily yard checks of all equipment.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory as needed and provide a detailed report to the customer.
  • Provide assistance for courier drivers and report to customer as needed.
  • Make deliveries as needed.
  • Obtain forklift certification through company-provided certification course
  • Adhere to Relay Express’ Social Covenant
Requirements
  • Professional image and communication skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an unsupervised manner
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer needs and driver availability.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, contractors, and the operations team.
Schedule, Benefits, and Compensation
  • Monday through Friday, 12:00pm - 8:30pm
  • Pay: $18.00-20.00/hour
  • Benefits
    • Medical Benefits after 60 days. Premium paid at 75%
