Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Warehouse

  • Fulfills customer orders by accurately picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment. Utilizes the best package sizing to achieve cost-effective freight; ensures delivery as close to customer expectations as possible.
  • Receives incoming shipments, verifies contents against packing slips/invoices, and ensures proper storage.
  • Inspects products for damage or defects and reports any issues to the supervisor or follow proper procedures/protocol.
  • Packages parts for parcel shipments according to company specifications.
  • Unloads, folds, ties and palletizes rubber tracks utilizing a forklift.
  • Unloads and categorizes steel undercarriage parts into proper bins.
  • Unloads, ties, palletizes and tags items, ensures items are stored in their proper locations.
  • Assist carriers with loading as necessary - pallet loading with fork lift, etc.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Safely and efficiently operates a forklift, pallet jack or other to move materials, load and unload trucks, and stack and store items in the warehouse.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the forklift is operated in a safe manner.
  • Collaborates with team members and communicates effectively with supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
  • Ensures the warehouse is organized and items are stored in designated locations.
  • Empties all trash, prepares for trash and recycling pick up on a weekly basis or as dictated.
  • Notifies the Manager if any issues or discrepancies arrive with the orders or as the defined process/protocol dictates.
  • Performs daily checks on equipment prior to operation.
  • Weighs and measures outgoing packages to determine shipping costs.
  • Builds pallets, crates, etc. specific to each order.
Shipping
  • Maintains Orders to Ship Report; ensures all orders are shipped and performs all transfers in SAP.
  • Assists Counter Sales employees with shipping quotes for customers.
  • Ships product utilizing the best package sizing to achieve the most cost-effective freight; ensures delivery as close to customer expectations as possible.
  • Tracks packages not delivered in a timely manner or possibly lost by the carrier.
  • Transports received product to Inventory Control Coordinator or Counter Sales Assistant.
  • Assists carriers with loading as necessary (e.g., pallet loading with fork lift).
  • Picks the correct parts for an order-Pack and for an order; ships as directed.
  • Prepares shipping documents and labels.
  • Schedules pickups and deliveries with carriers.
  • Tracks shipments and communicates updates as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with carriers, warehouse personnel, and customer service representatives.
  • Maintains accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.\

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend and kneel on a regular basis.
