Description:

The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver will share responsibility for all Warehouse and delivery functions of a small warehouse and work in tandem with another Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door at a growing division. This position involves all functions pertaining to receiving and shipping/delivering, verifying and recording the quantity and condition of incoming and outgoing material, and all related paperwork/documentation. The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver is responsible for delivery of insulation products and requires unloading and loading of product to the scheduled job sites in a timely manner. This associate will also answer phone calls and customer inquiries to provide timely and accurate updates on orders and quotes as needed.

What you will be doing:

  • Safely operate forklift
  • Shipping and Receiving duties including data entry of order specifics into the computer
  • Pull, stage and load outgoing material orders
  • Prepare material for third party shipping (Palletizing/Shrink Wrapping)
  • Load trucks for customer/jobsite delivery
  • Unload, count and stock incoming materials
  • Verifying received material quantities with packing slips
  • Count material for inventory control
  • Deliver material and load/unload material within a pre-determined driving schedule.
  • Staging product onto the truck for delivery.
  • Maintains truck, performs daily pre-trip inspections and provides minor maintenance on truck if needed. Reports any mechanical or maintenance related issues that need to be repaired to the Plant Manager.
  • Processes paperwork including, but not limited to; tickets, bills of lading, customer signed receipts and COD handling when specified.
  • Communicates any customer service issues addressed at the job site to the Plant Manager.
  • Will be required to work Warehouse positions between scheduled deliveries.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

What you need to get the job done:

  • Requires 1-year verifiable experience driving a straight truck (26’ box truck, automatic transmission) within the last five years.
  • Ability to pass a Driver Background Check
  • Ability to meet all DOT regulations needed to receive and maintain a med card, required.
  • Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • As a condition of continued employment, employees working in a position requiring driving as an essential function of the job, are required to maintain a valid license, and an acceptable driving record as per our insurance provider’s requirements.
