This is a unique opportunity to join a high-visibility team with a big impact on our digital advertising business.
Your role as Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations – Joint Business Partnerships is to own the end-to-end management of Walmart Connect’s Joint Business Partnership (JBP) program. You will be the operational and strategic backbone of this high-priority program—responsible for designing and maintaining the frameworks, training, processes, and tools that enable the Sales team to execute JBPs with excellence and at scale.
This role requires a seasoned operator with deep expertise in retail media ad sales or marketplace seller strategy and operations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the Sales team on all things JBP—fielding questions, resolving escalations, driving cross-functional alignment, and partnering with Product when program needs require platform or tooling solutions. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in the weeds of process design and in the room with senior stakeholders, and brings a track record of building programs that scale.What you'll do...
  • Owning end-to-end management of the Walmart Connect Joint Business Partnership program, including program strategy, operational execution, governance, and continuous improvement
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the Sales team on all JBP-related questions, processes, escalations, and guidance—ensuring sellers have the clarity and support they need to execute partnerships effectively
  • Developing, maintaining, and evolving all JBP standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, processes, and program documentation, ensuring they are current, clearly communicated, and consistently applied across the organization
  • Owning the JBP training program from end to end—designing curriculum, building materials, delivering sessions, and continuously refreshing content to reflect program updates and evolving best practices
  • Partnering with Product teams to scope, prioritize, and advocate for platform and tooling enhancements that support JBP program needs, translating Sales feedback into clear product asks with well-defined requirements
  • Identifying and surfacing operational gaps, process inefficiencies, and program improvement opportunities, and leading cross-functional efforts to address them
  • Building and maintaining cross-functional relationships across Sales, Product, Finance, Legal, Measurement and Marketing to ensure JBP program execution is well-coordinated and aligned to business objectives
  • Managing program escalations from the Sales team, triaging issues and driving timely resolution through the appropriate internal channels
  • Developing and maintaining reporting and analytics related to JBP program performance, providing leadership with regular visibility into program health, adoption, and outcomes
  • Coordinating, completing, and overseeing job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the Walmart ecosystem
  • Supporting plans and initiatives to meet business needs while building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results
  • Analyzing key performance indicators and trend data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform future strategy and investment decisions

Preferred Experience:
  • 5–7 years of experience in retail media ad sales, marketplace seller strategy and operations, partnership program management, or a closely related field
  • Must be based in Hoboken, NJ or Bentonville, AR; this is a full-time, in-office position
  • Direct experience owning or operating a Joint Business Partnership, co-op, or strategic partnership program within a retail media or digital advertising organization
  • Retail media ad sales, including experience working directly with or in support of a Sales team managing large advertiser relationships
  • Marketplace seller strategy and operations, including familiarity with how marketplace sellers plan and invest in advertising and partnership programs
  • SOP development, training curriculum design, and large-scale internal enablement program management
  • Product partnership or product operations experience, including translating business needs into product requirements and managing cross-functional product workstreams
  • Retail, eCommerce, Consumer Packaged Goods, or digital advertising industry environments
  • Large multi-national or matrixed corporate organizations with complex program governance and stakeholder environments
