Job description

The Replenishment Manager will optimize end-to-end replenishment operations between CPG company and Walmart, ensuring efficient product delivery and alignment with inventory targets. The role focuses on maintaining optimal store and distribution center inventory levels while identifying opportunities to maximize point-of-sale (POS) performance. The individual will evaluate replenishment data, analyze supply chain performance, and implement solutions to drive service improvements, increase revenue, and reduce costs for our portfolio of products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for replenishment and inventory management on Walmart's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system, driving replenishment strategies for assigned product categories.
  • Lead the replenishment process by proactively maintaining performance accountability, ensuring timely and accurate inventory levels across Walmart's distribution network.
  • Manage item-level forecasting and take corrective actions to improve key supply chain metrics, such as retail in-stock levels, on-hand inventory, distributor pipeline inventory, and case fill rates.
  • Analyze and update product lifecycle trends for promotional events, modular transitions, and item changes, including POS performance, inventory availability, and historical promotional activity.
  • Identify and address forecast exceptions, service gaps, and inefficiencies in the supply chain, driving corrective actions upstream through internal processes and downstream with Walmart and third-party distributors.
  • Collaborate closely with Walmart's Replenishment Managers, Buyers, and third-party distributors to optimize inventory flow and drive sales growth.
  • Provide accurate and timely shipment forecasts to demand planning partners, specifically for promotional events, modular transitions, and product changes.
  • Build and maintain strong customer-facing relationships with Walmart's replenishment teams and internal teams including Sales, Category Management, Supply Chain, and Demand Planning.
  • Lead special projects and strategic initiatives focused on promotional events, continuous process improvement, and business process enhancements.
  • Facilitate weekly Collaborative Demand Alignment meetings to ensure sales and demand planning are aligned with business goals.

Education / Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a retail or CPG supply chain/replenishment role, preferably managing Walmart accounts.
  • Strong experience using Walmart's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system is required.
  • Proven track record of driving supply chain performance improvements and managing complex retail accounts.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Highly developed leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize demands and execute on commitments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, both internally and externally.

Computer Skills / Tools & Technology:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Advanced knowledge of Walmart's Retail Link and other replenishment or forecasting tools.
