Job Title: TEMP/SEASONAL 2nd Shift Supervisor- Distribution Center

Location: McDonough, GA (Onsite)

Hours: Monday - Thursday approximately 4:30pm - 2:30am with occasional required weekend shifts based on business needs

***Please note, this role will have temporary responsibility for managing our 2nd shift with the approximate hours of 4:00pm – 2:30am, Monday - Thursday, with occasional required weekend overtime. This role will last from July-December during our peak season. Please only apply if you are willing and able to work 2nd shift and open to a temporary opportunity.***

The Opportunity:

Our team at Horizon Group USA is looking for a talented Temp/Seasonal 2nd Shift Supervisor to support our Distribution Center onsite in McDonough, GA during our busy peak season from July through the end of December. This role will supervise hourly associates and satisfy the timely shipments to over 1,000 retail customers.

The Temp/Seasonal 2nd Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the outbound case picking in a high-volume fulfillment warehouse. This role ensures that all goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently while meeting compliance and quality standards set by major retailers like Walmart and Amazon. The supervisor will also optimize inventory accuracy and lead a team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee order fulfillment processes, ensuring on-time and accurate shipments to Walmart, Amazon, and 1000+ other customers.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the shipping guidelines of major retailers (Walmart OTIF, Amazon FBA/FBM regulations).
  • Work closely with the Shipping department to ensure a timely and accurate hand-off of completed orders to ensure accurate and efficient execution to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure all shipments have the correct labels, barcodes, and ASN (Advance Shipment Notifications) required to meet the shipping guidelines and service levels of all customers.
  • Monitor and achieve productivity targets for DC Gen operations.
  • Work closely with inventory control teams to ensure stock levels are accurate in ERP, WMS (Warehouse Management System), and other related systems and documents.
  • Address inventory discrepancies and collaborate with Inventory control, MIS and data analytics teams for reporting.
  • Optimize warehouse layout for efficient picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Ensure OSHA, safety, and compliance regulations are followed in warehouse operations.
  • Maintain compliance with Walmart’s Retail Link, Amazon Vendor Central, and other customer shipping requirements.
  • Conduct audits to ensure packaging, labeling, and documentation meet retailer specifications.
  • Uphold all records, correspondence, documentation, and photos detailing shipments to dispute chargebacks as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of employees (both full time and temporary).
  • Other tasks assigned by manager.
  • Adherence to HR compliance and records keeping for time and attendance.


Skills and Qualifying Experience:

  • Experience: 2 - 5 years of experience in a warehouse or Distribution Center environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role required
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team, and foster a positive and productive work environment required
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards required
  • Knowledge of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners required. Forklift certification a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. required
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain detailed records in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work a core schedule of Mon-Thurs 4:30pm-2:30am (onsite) with flexibility to work mandatory weekend shifts during peak
