Job description

We are looking for a reliable and safety-minded Electric Pallet Jack Operator / Order Picker to join our warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting customer orders, maneuvering electric pallet jacks (rider/walkie stackers) safely through the facility, and preparing goods for shipment.


The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, pays close attention to detail, and prioritizes safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Selection: Accurately select, pick, and consolidate products from warehouse shelves using RF scanners, voice-picking systems, or paper pick sheets.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate electric ride-on or walk-behind pallet jacks (center-rider or end-rider) to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Palletizing & Staging: Stably stack, wrap (shrink-wrap), and label pallets according to customer specifications and safety standards for transport.
  • Inventory & Audit: Conduct basic quality checks on picked items to ensure correct quantities and undamaged goods; report damaged stock or inventory discrepancies immediately.
  • Loading & Unloading: Safely transfer staging pallets onto trailers or staging areas as directed.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections (battery checks, controls, brakes) and log issues. Adhere to all OSHA, company, and warehouse safety regulations.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by clearing debris, empty pallets, and trash.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating an electric pallet jack (center-rider/walkie-rider) in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.


  • Physical Stamina:
    • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist for 8 to 10+ hours per day.
    • Ability to work in variable temperatures (ambient, cooler, or freezer depending on facility).
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, good spatial awareness, and solid communication.
  • Punctuality: Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts, including occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
