Join Ohioโ€™s leader in behavioral health and make a lasting impact on a child's life. OhioGuidestone is hosting a convenient, walk-in interview event to find dedicated Youth Care Specialists for our Berea residential campus.ย 

Pay Rate Base: $18.00-20.00 an hour (depending on experience and education)

Event Details

  • Date: Wednesday, August 5th, 2026
  • Time: 3:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 PM
  • Location: 130 Tressel St. (Inside the Reinberger Chapel), Berea, OH 44017

Your Role & Impact

  • Our Berea residential campus provides vital, out-of-home care for boys and girls facing complex trauma, mental health needs, and academic or emotional struggles. As a Youth Care Specialist, you will:ย 
  • Provide safe, trauma-informed care for high-risk youth.
  • Partner with caregivers and placing agencies to transition youth back home safely.
  • Help empower the 26,000 Ohioans we serve annually across our diverse programs.ย 

Role Requirements

  • Minimum Qualificationsย 
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience working with high-risk/at-risk youth, corrections, or mental health populations.
  • Ability to pass a free pre-employment screening (fingerprint background check, physical, TB test, and drug screen).ย 
  • Preferred Qualificationsย 
  • Associate or bachelorโ€™s degree in psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Criminal Justice, or Youth Development.
  • Strong understanding of adolescent development, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.ย
