Job description

Commercial Refrigeration Installer

Company: Mr. C Refrigeration
Pay: $30-$50/hour, based on experience and license level

About Mr. C Refrigeration

Mr. C Refrigeration provides installation, emergency repair, and preventative maintenance services for commercial and industrial refrigeration, cold storage, and HVAC equipment. We're looking for an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Installer who takes pride in quality workmanship and can confidently handle refrigeration installations, equipment change-outs, and system upgrades.

What You'll Do

As a Commercial Refrigeration Installer, you'll work on commercial refrigeration projects including walk-in coolers and freezers, condensing units, compressors, evaporators, and related systems.

  • Install commercial refrigeration systems and equipment

  • Install condensing units, compressors, evaporators, and associated components

  • Run refrigeration piping, including suction, liquid, and discharge lines

  • Braze, solder, pressure test, and prepare refrigeration piping for operation

  • Install pipe supports, hangers, and insulation

  • Install walk-in coolers, freezers, refrigeration panels, and ice machines

  • Perform equipment change-outs, retrofits, and mechanical upgrades

  • Read and interpret refrigeration drawings, blueprints, and specifications

  • Work with copper piping and various commercial refrigeration installation methods

  • Perform basic carpentry associated with refrigeration panel installation

  • Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures

  • Coordinate with project teams to complete installations safely and on schedule

What We're Looking For
  • Previous commercial refrigeration installation experience

  • EPA Certification required

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience with refrigeration piping, brazing, soldering, and pressure testing

  • Knowledge of condensing units, compressors, evaporators, and refrigeration components

  • Ability to read refrigeration drawings and blueprints

  • Experience with walk-in cooler and freezer installation preferred

  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team

  • Strong attention to safety and quality workmanship

  • Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on field position requiring the ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull; work from ladders or elevated areas; handle tools, equipment, piping, and refrigeration panels; and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

Mr. C Refrigeration offers competitive compensation along with opportunities to increase your earnings through overtime, commission, and on-call work.
