Job description

Network Engineer L1

We are seeking a Network Engineer to support enterprise and high-performance computing (HPC) environments within the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will have experience with enterprise networking, storage networking, routing and switching, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures.

Required Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack
  • Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment and operating systems
  • Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network access controls
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise or datacenter network environments
  • Ability to support operational and on-call requirements
Desired Storage Fabric / HPC Experience
  • Lustre file system configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with DDN Exascaler file system appliances
  • Storage networking and storage fabrics
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista networking platforms
  • Familiarity with E1000, ESNet, DAOS, and WEKA
  • Experience with performance benchmarking tools such as IOR, iperf, FIO, and lnet_selftest
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Network Engineering experience, or 5+ years of experience without a degree
