Job description

Overview

Keysight is at the forefront of technology innovation, delivering breakthroughs and trusted insights in electronic design, simulation, prototyping, test, manufacturing, and optimization. Our ~16,800 employees create world-class solutions in communications, 5G, automotive, energy, quantum, aerospace, defense, and semiconductor markets for customers in over 100 countries. Learn more about what we do.

Our award-winning culture embraces a bold vision of where technology can take us and a passion for tackling challenging problems with industry-first solutions. We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.

The Contracts Senior Representative will support Keysight’s US and Canadian sales organizations by administering and managing a broad range of customer agreements associated with the sale of Keysight products, software, services, and solutions. This role is responsible for reviewing and interpreting contractual terms and conditions, managing existing agreements and amendments, identifying non-standard requirements and potential risks, and working with internal stakeholders to determine appropriate solutions and escalation paths.

This position requires strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand and apply commercial and contractual concepts in situations where the appropriate solution may not always be clearly defined. The Contracts Senior Representative will work independently while collaborating closely with Sales, Customer Service, Legal, Finance, and other internal teams to help address customer contractual requirements while supporting Keysight’s business objectives and risk tolerance.

The ideal candidate brings experience administering commercial customer contracts within a large or complex organization and is comfortable supporting sophisticated customers, interpreting contractual terms and conditions, and navigating varying contractual requirements. Some negotiation of customer terms may be required, while more complex or significant negotiations are handled in partnership with Contracts Managers and other appropriate stakeholders.

This role offers flexibility in work location. While the team operates in a largely remote environment, there is a preference for a candidate based near our Loveland, Colorado office, where proximity to members of the Contracts and Legal organizations can provide additional opportunities for collaboration, particularly during onboarding. Remote candidates with the experience and skills needed to be successful in the role will also be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Review, interpret, and administer standard and non-standard customer agreements in the United States and Canada, including purchase agreements for volume end users, channel partner agreements, confidential disclosure agreements, and other supporting customer documents. Identify non-standard terms and conditions and other contractual requirements that may require additional review or escalation.
  • Assess contractual and business risk associated with non-standard customer terms and conditions and develop potential risk mitigation strategies consistent with Keysight policies and risk tolerance.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate contractual issues, recommend appropriate courses of action, and manage required escalation and approval processes.
  • Manage existing customer agreements throughout the contract lifecycle, including preparing agreements and amendments, coordinating execution and customer signatures, maintaining contract information and documentation, and supporting other contractual requirements associated with Keysight's products, software, services, and solutions.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding contracts processes and policies, applicable commercial and federal business requirements, and other contract-related matters.
  • Negotiate appropriate customer terms and conditions within established guidelines and Keysight's risk tolerance, escalating more complex contractual matters as appropriate.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Sales, and other internal teams to resolve non-standard customer requests and contractual issues.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant education and/or work experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in contract administration, contract management, or a related commercial contracts role.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting commercial agreements, terms and conditions, and other contractual documents.
  • Demonstrated understanding of commercial contract concepts and the ability to identify, research, and resolve contractual issues.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, analyze situations that may not have clearly defined solutions, and recommend appropriate courses of action or escalation.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders such as Sales, Customer Service, Legal, Finance, or other business functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain contractual requirements and issues to internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple agreements, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across functions and regions.

Preferred

  • Experience administering customer contracts within a large, complex, or global organization.
  • Experience supporting commercial sales organizations and/or working with large, sophisticated customers.
  • Experience negotiating commercial contract terms and conditions.
  • Experience with both commercial and government contracts.
