Description

Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is seeking a Lead VTC (Video Teleconference) Technician to support classified and unclassified conferencing environments within a NIWC PAC operational setting. The Lead VTC Technician is responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support of VTC systems and associated audiovisual (AV) infrastructure. This role ensures seamless execution of mission-critical meetings by preparing, operating, and maintaining VTC equipment. This position oversees technical execution of VTC operations.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: 

VTC System Installation & Configuration

Install, configure, and maintain VTC systems in conference rooms and secure facilities.

Integrate VTC equipment with network infrastructure and audiovisual components.

Configure codecs, cameras, microphones, displays, and control systems.

Ensure compliance with DoD and facility security requirements during installations.

Operational Meeting Support

Prepare conference rooms prior to scheduled meetings to ensure system readiness.

Operate VTC systems during meetings, including call setup, bridging, and monitoring session quality.

Provide real-time troubleshooting during live events to prevent disruptions.

Coordinate with remote sites to validate connectivity and system compatibility.

Support classified and unclassified VTC sessions in accordance with security policies.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related VTC issues.

Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks.

Coordinate repairs or equipment replacements as required.

Maintain inventory of VTC equipment and associated peripherals.

Documentation & Process Improvement

Develop and maintain VTC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Document system configurations and troubleshooting steps.

Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and user experience.

Provide technical guidance to junior VTC technicians, as applicable.

SSCP


Required Skills:

5+ years of experience supporting VTC or enterprise audiovisual systems.

Experience installing and troubleshooting enterprise VTC solutions (e.g., Cisco, Poly, Crestron, or equivalent).

Understanding of basic networking principles (IP addressing, VLANs, QoS).

Experience supporting classified conferencing environments preferred.

Strong customer service and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with network diagnostics and monitoring tools.

Experience supporting secure conference room buildouts.

Knowledge of audiovisual control systems and signal flow.
