Responsibilities

As our company continues to scale and evolve, we are seeking a strategic, innovative, and operationally excellent Vice President, Total Rewards to lead and modernize our enterprise compensation and benefits strategies.

This senior HR leader will serve as a core member of the HR leadership team—partnering closely with HR COE’s, Finance leaders, and Executive leadership. This leader will shape a forward‑looking total rewards philosophy, oversee executive compensation, and ensure our rewards programs attract, motivate, and retain the talent who deliver on our mission every day.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Program Design

  • Set the strategic vision for Peraton’s total rewards philosophy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, workforce needs, and long‑term enterprise growth.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the CHRO, COO, CEO, Finance, and senior executives regarding compensation trends, market intelligence, and talent investment strategies.
  • Present strategy, analytics, and program recommendations to executive leadership, and Peraton partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements across compensation, benefits, leave programs, and accommodations.

Compensation & Executive Pay

  • Design and govern enterprise compensation frameworks, job families, salary structures, promotion criteria, and short‑and‑long‑term incentive plans.
  • Oversee executive compensation programs, equity administration, and annual cycles—partnering with the CHRO on Board support.
  • Lead market benchmarking, competitive research, and compensation trends analysis to ensure decisions are equitable, data‑driven, and aligned with business outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Finance on compensation design and cost governance.

Benefits & Wellbeing

  • Lead design and evolution of health, welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefits programs that are competitive, cost‑effective, and tailored to Peraton’s mission‑driven workforce.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate partnerships to ensure high‑quality offerings and service delivery.
  • Build a holistic enterprise wellbeing strategy across mental, physical, financial, and social dimensions.
  • Track adoption, ROI, and engagement to improve program effectiveness.

Recognition, Leaves & Workplace Accommodations

  • Lead enterprise employee recognition programs that celebrate contributions aligned with our values and culture.
  • Oversee leave of absence, paid time off, Workers’ Compensation, military leave, and associated compliance programs.
  • Advance workplace accommodations strategies to ensure accessibility, productivity, and regulatory alignment (ADA, related requirements).

Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the Total Rewards team, building scalable capabilities that support a fast‑paced, evolving business.
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and enterprise consistency across Total Rewards delivery.
  • Establish best‑in‑class service models and governance across the Total Rewards function.
Qualifications

What You’ll Have

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years progressive Total Rewards leadership experience, including at least 5 years in senior roles.
  • Deep experience in compensation strategy, incentive design, executive compensation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience presenting to and advising CHROs, and Executive Leadership Teams.
  • Strong analytical capability and comfort with data modeling, insights, and trend analysis.
  • Experience leading Total Rewards teams in complex, large‑scale organizations; government contracting experience preferred.
  • US Person/Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Business, or related field.
  • CCP or equivalent compensation certification.
  • Experience in publicly traded or investor‑facing organizations with Board exposure.

Target Salary Range

$229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
