Job description

Position Summary:
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, while leading the strategy, of warehouse operations, systems, and automation initiatives. This role sits on the executive leadership team and is accountable for aligning sales objectives with operational capabilities to support scalable, profitable growth.
The VP of Sales provides experienced executive leadership across commercial and operational functions, ensuring that technology, automation, and warehouse processes support customer commitments and long-term business goals.
Essential Functions:
Sales Leadership
  • Lead and oversee the company's sales strategy, including revenue growth, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Set sales goals, forecasts, and performance metrics aligned with company objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and hold accountable senior sales leaders and teams.
  • Partner with operations to ensure sales commitments align with warehouse capacity, systems, and automation capabilities.

Warehouse Systems & Automation Leadership
  • Provide executive oversight for sales of automation technologies and related platforms.
  • Ensure customer offerings with technology supports efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and cost control.
  • Drive continuous improvement across customer base.
  • Partner with sales and operations on a joint go to market strategy.

Operational & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Align sales and operations to deliver consistent service and operational excellence.
  • Translate business strategy into executable plans across all sales verticals.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting to monitor performance, productivity, and return on sales.

Executive Leadership
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to company-wide strategy and planning.
  • Support budgeting, capital planning, and investment decisions related to sales growth and automation initiatives.
  • Represent the company with key customers, partners, and vendors as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven sales leadership experience in a dealership (VP, Director, or Equivalent).
  • Experience leading multiple sales leaders in an organization.
  • Strong background in sales leadership with a demonstrated record of driving revenue growth.
  • Experience overseeing and driving systems and warehouse revenue streams.
  • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional teams and large-scale initiatives.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and capital investments.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to execute and deliver results.

Skills & Competencies
  • Executive-level communication and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to balance commercial goals with operational realities.
  • Change leadership experience, particularly with systems or automation adoption.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required
