Team/Role Overview
Our team oversees the firm's comprehensive operational risk management process. This includes the firm-wide Risk Appetite framework, which formally defines the level and type of risk we are willing to assume in our pursuit of strategic objectives. A critical component of this is our Risk Identification process, where we systematically identify, measure, and monitor the most significant operational risks facing the firm.
These frameworks are brought to life through a robust system of metrics, including Key Risk Indicators. This system sets clear, firm-wide standards for monitoring our risk profile and establishes clear protocols for responding when risk levels deviate from our stated appetite.
A dedicated Operational Risk Identification, Appetite, and Metric (ORM RAL) team drives these critical processes. This position, Vice President, Risk Appetite & Risk Identification Management, is a key role within this team. The Vice President will be responsible for driving the execution of our quarterly risk assessment processes, working closely with team members and stakeholders across business-aligned risk teams (1st Line of Defense) and operational risk management (2nd Line of Defense) to deliver a comprehensive assessment for senior management review and approval.
This role offers a unique and high-profile opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of the firm's risk landscape, providing significant exposure to a wide spectrum of both enterprise-level and business-specific risk categories.
