Job description


Concessions Personnel are responsible for the sale of food and non-alcoholic beverage in our concessions area. These positions are temporary and work is based solely on the labor requirements for each event.
The Performing Arts Center:
The Northwest Center for the Performing Arts is a 65,000 square-foot development that presents a 1203 seat fully-equipped performance theater, including balcony seating, a reception gallery with private courtyard, and a two-story lobby entrance. Back stage areas incorporate multiple dressing rooms, a green room, and prop and costume preparation areas. The facility features classrooms, computer labs, a digital piano lab, multiple private instrument practice rooms, and a recording studio for academic music and entertainment industry pathways. Four spacious rehearsal spaces are provided for the Northwest Bands and Choirs, including an outdoor, 100-yard practice field for the Northwest Marching Band.
The Performing Arts Center hosts Broadway touring productions, celebrity attractions, visiting artists, premier lecturers, local presentations, film screenings, and on campus events.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • The capability of communicating positively and professionally with members of the public, co-workers, and representatives of touring productions.
  • Assists with the logistics of inventory management for concessions.
  • Maintains current and in-depth knowledge of schedule, events, and relevant contacts for each performance.
  • Remains vigilant and proactive in anticipating artist needs during events.
  • Contributes to the environment of NWCC PAC by maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy event schedules.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to climb several flights of stairs during a short period of time.
  • Ability to handle cash and card payments in accordance with venue policy.

Compensation:
  • Concessions Personnel compensation begins at $10 per hour.
