Job description

The Vice President Analytics will develop and advance At Home’s analytics capabilities in close partnership with Merchandising, Planning & Allocation, Stores, Finance, and Marketing. This leader will influence the company’s analytics strategy, support the creation of scalable methodologies, and enable advanced analytical tools and insights spanning demand forecasting, pricing, and AI-driven optimization while empowering functional partners to apply analytics within their respective domains.

This role will partner closely with business leaders to standardize KPIs, streamline reporting and tools, and deliver actionable insights that improve revenue, profitability, inventory productivity, customer engagement, and enterprise performance. The VP will also lead the Demand Planning function, tuning and optimizing forecasting models and developing in-house methodologies to deliver measurable cost savings.

Enterprise Analytics Strategy & Leadership

Define and lead the enterprise analytics strategy to enable data‑driven decision‑making across Merchandising, Planning, Stores, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance. Establish a centralized analytics operating model, governance framework, and multi‑year capability roadmap aligned to company priorities.

Merchandising, Inventory & Planning Analytics Excellence

Oversee development of analytical insights and decision frameworks for merchandise planning, assortment strategy, allocation and space optimization, pricing and markdown effectiveness, and SKU‑level performance. Enable enterprise‑wide visibility to sales, margin, inventory, and productivity drivers.

Demand Planning Leadership

Stand up and lead the Demand Planning function, including the optimization of forecasting systems and models. Build forecasting processes that improve accuracy, enable localization, and support inventory and financial planning outcomes.

Pricing, Test & Learn Optimization

Lead pricing analytics, elasticity modeling, promotion effectiveness, and clearance optimization. Own the enterprise test‑and‑learn agenda, including development of internal experimentation methodology and tools to replace legacy capabilities and deliver measurable cost savings.

Data Governance & KPI Standardization

Establish and govern enterprise data definitions, KPI standards, and analytical methodologies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of insights. Simplify and streamline access to trusted, actionable metrics for all business stakeholders.

Advanced Analytics, AI & Predictive Modeling

Develop and scale advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI capabilities to unlock business value and support strategic decisions. Create models that forecast demand, optimize assortment and space, and guide operational and customer‑centric decisions.

Reporting, Tools & Technology Enablement

Rationalize, consolidate, and optimize reporting and analytical toolsets. Partner with Data Engineering and Technology teams to ensure scalable data infrastructure, consistent metric availability, and high‑quality insight delivery.

Team & Capability Leadership

Build, develop, and lead a high‑performing analytics organization. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, business partnership, and data‑driven decision‑making aligned with company values and objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred in Data Science, Analytics or related field
  • 12+ years in analytics leadership, preferably in retail or consumer‑driven industries
  • Deep expertise in Merchandising, Planning, Pricing, and Customer analytics
  • Experience building and scaling enterprise analytics functions
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, data science, AI/ML, and statistical modeling
  • Successful track record leading large cross‑functional analytics programs
  • Skilled at standing up new capabilities and building teams from the ground up
  • Executive communication and stakeholder alignment experience
  • Strategic, enterprise‑wide systems thinker
  • Ability to simplify complexity and drive focus
  • Customer‑obsessed and data‑driven decision maker
  • Excellent communicator and influencer at the executive level
