Job Summary

The Vice President, Regulatory serves as the senior executive responsible for developing and executing the operating company's regulatory strategy across all state jurisdictions in which the electric utility operates. This role leads regulatory policy, rate case strategy, filings, and stakeholder engagement to support safe, reliable, and affordable electric service while enabling long-term infrastructure investment and financial stability.
The VP acts as the primary executive interface with state public utility commissions, regulatory staff, intervenors, and key external stakeholders, and is a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team on regulatory risk, opportunities, and outcomes.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • Establish and lead the company's overall regulatory strategy, aligning regulatory outcomes with corporate, financial, operational, and customer objectives.
  • Provide executive leadership for rate cases, cost recovery mechanisms, riders, settlements, and regulatory approvals.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and policies developing within the Commission and state that affect the Company's operation.
  • Anticipate regulatory, legislative, and policy developments that impact operations and capital investment.
  • Lead a team to perform all regulatory activities including, continuous review of the Company's rates and terms and conditions of service, filing preparation, interrogatory support, hearing participation, reviewing legal briefs, support for final order and settlement processing.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, law, or related field.

Experience:

  • 10 years of related experience preferably in electric utility regulation.

Other Must Haves:

  • Deep expertise in state public utility commission processes and ratemaking.
  • Proven executive-level communication and leadership skills.
