Are you an entrepreneurial construction leader ready to make a measurable impact and grow alongside a high-performing organization?

We are partnering with Scorpio Construction, headquartered in Gainesville and with established offices in Orlando and Jacksonville, to identify a Vice President of Project Development to lead and scale their Jacksonville operations. This is a key executive role with equity participation, designed for leaders who want both influence and long-term upside.

The Opportunity

This firm is on a strong growth trajectory and is intentionally building an executive team that thinks and operates like owners. The VP of Project Development will play a critical role in operational excellence, market expansion, and team development across Northeast Florida.

What You'll Do

• Provide executive oversight of daily operations while driving strategic initiatives to support growth, profitability, and efficiency

• Lead business development efforts and strengthen client relationships, with a strong focus on K-12, Higher Education, Municipal, and Government markets in the Jacksonville area

• Mentor, develop, and hold teams accountable while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and results

• Partner closely with senior leadership to shape long-term strategy and market positioning

What You Bring

• Proven operational leadership experience within a General Contractor, particularly across education, municipal, or government projects

• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategy and execution

• Exceptional communication skills and a track record of building long-term client relationships

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred)

• Proficiency with construction and operational software platforms
