Job description

Dreisilker Electric Motors, Inc. is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Finance to join our executive leadership team.
As a family-owned company, we value integrity, accountability, collaboration, and long-term relationships. We are proud of the business we have built, and we are looking for the right financial leader to help us grow responsibly, improve profitability, strengthen our financial controls, and prepare the organization for its next chapter.
This is more than a traditional accounting leadership position. The Vice President of Finance will serve as a strategic partner to the President, ownership, and executive leadership team. The successful candidate will bring the financial knowledge, operational understanding, and forward-looking strategy needed to turn financial information into clear business decisions.
The Opportunity
The Vice President of Finance will lead the company's financial strategy and oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, risk management, and internal controls.
This individual will work closely with leaders throughout the company to identify opportunities to improve margins, optimize working capital, strengthen processes, increase efficiency, and support sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial leader who can understand the details while maintaining a broad strategic perspective. They will be comfortable evaluating inventory, work in process, costing, pricing, labor, operational performance, and profitability-and translating those findings into practical recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a strategic financial partner to the President, ownership, and executive leadership team.
• Develop financial strategies that support profitable growth, operational efficiency, and long-term business objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance reporting.
• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls.
• Provide leadership over inventory accounting, WIP, costing, margin analysis, and working capital.
• Analyze profitability by customer, product, project, branch, and business segment to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with Operations, Sales, Purchasing, and other leaders to improve margins, productivity, and overall business performance.
• Strengthen financial processes, controls, ERP capabilities, and reporting tools to improve accuracy and scalability.
• Evaluate investments, pricing decisions, capital expenditures, and other strategic growth opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Accounting team while building a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant leadership responsibility.
• Experience as a Vice President of Finance, Controller, Director of Finance, or similar senior financial leader.
• Strong experience in a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or project-based business environment.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory accounting, WIP, standard or job costing, margin analysis, and working-capital management.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic-planning processes.
• A proven ability to identify and implement initiatives that improve profitability, cash flow, efficiency, and scalability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear recommendations.
• Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, Microsoft Excel, and process automation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• A collaborative, hands-on leadership style and the ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail.
